Designing and documentation of the quarry of extraction of mineral resources

The requirements for the use of subterranean depths are determined by the Law “On Subterranean Depths” and the laws and regulations subordinate thereto.

In order to determine whether extraction of mineral resources is possible on the selected land property, the collection and evaluation of existing geological information shall first be performed.

If, on this basis, the spread of minerals (sand, sand-gravel, clay, dolomite, limestone, etc.) in this area is possible, a geological exploration shall be carried out.

Based on the results of geological exploration, the stocks of mineral resources are accepted.

MDPG Group provides the arrangement of the documentation required for the commencement of extraction of mineral resources (Cabinet Regulation No. 570 “Procedure of extraction of mineral resources”) and obtaining permits: MDPG Group:
  • The State Environmental Service is informed about the commencement of the planned activities, a passport of deposit of mineral resources and an extraction limit have been received.
  • Communication with the local government is provided by receiving a statement regarding the extraction of mineral resources in the planned territory, if it does not contradict the local government spatial plan, or a decision regarding the necessity to develop a detailed plan.
  • In accordance with the requirements of the Law “On Environmental Impact Assessment”, if necessary, an initial environmental impact assessment is performed, in the process of which the Regional Environmental Board assesses the potential environmental impact of the planned activity – Possible decisions – Application of the environmental impact assessment procedure or the technical provisions for designing the extraction of mineral resources are issued.
  • The State Environmental Service receives a Subsoil Use License (after the completion of the initial Environmental Impact Assessment or the completion of the Environmental Impact Assessment procedure).
  • In accordance with the requirements of the License, a mining project is being developed, including a reclamation project, which is being coordinated with the municipality.
  • In the designing process, if necessary, the permission is obtained according to which the planned extraction of minerals resources does not contradict the Protection Zone Law and is coordinated with the managers of the protection zones, as well as with all other involved parties affected by it.
